6.30pm ~ An open, informal non-sectarian public gathering of local AfricanAmerican leaders, speaking to commemorate Malcolm X’s birthday, sponsored by the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Chattanooga (UUCC).
Malcolm X was a major American public intellectual, a freedom fighter and global citizen. We honor his civil rights leadership with an annual celebration on his birthday, May 19. Additionally, we honor local activists , achievers, local women leaders.
