This year’s Christmas Project was a huge success. Many thanks to all who donated items. Many thanks to all who helped pack our boxes; to all who helped wrap a present and worked together to make Christmas a little happier and warmer for those in need. There were more people participating this year than last and we had a great group that met at the Chattanooga Rescue Mission on December 21 to help hand out our gifts – it took three cars to haul everything to the Mission. Those at the Mission said “thank you” and “bless you”; men and women appreciated our gifts and thinking of them.
The Social Justice Committee is growing. Our next meeting is Thursday, 9 January at 7:00 pm and we will be planning projects for 2014. Anyone interested in joining us is welcome. We are open to ideas and suggestions as we work on social issues in our community and increase awareness of UUCC.
