10:00 Service ~ The 2005 UUA Commission on Appraisal Report, Engaging Our Theological Diversity, found that “almost universally among UUs, personal experience is considered the most important source of religious conviction.”  We explore this thread as a way of digging deeper into our Unitarian Universalist faith with guest speaker Thandeka ~ scholar, theologian, ordained minister, journalist, Emmy award-winning television producer, congregational consultant and organizer. Creator of the We Love Beyond Belief project for congregations, she was given the !Xhosa name Thandeka, which means “beloved,” by Archbishop Desmond Tutu in 1984. The service will be followed by further discussion in the hall.
