Today, I got this facebook message from Canden Schwantes, one of the Cherry Hill gang who worked with Santa Rich in Durham, NC, 2010. She had studied at Oxford, leads tours around DC currently where she and her beloved Manny, a gifted musician, live.
“SANTA! 🙂 Last year you sent me a birthday card “from Santa” and my 7 year old neighbour accidentally opened it. She now tells everyone she knows each Christmas that I “know Santa Claus” and today she went to the mall to see “you” and told you that I said hi 🙂
Thanks for making me the coolest person on the block!”

December 3rd, 2011 done, now only 20 days left on the throne at Hamilton Place Mall. Hard to believe that more than half over. But the twenty days to go won’t be like the first 20… no siree…. Gonna be lines,short fuses..and crying babies..Last Friday had 6-9PM the crying baby thee hours… Almost 2 out of 3 were crying,and nothing couldbe done to change their little minds… and some parents think that’s “cute” and remember crying like that when they were on Santa’ knee…Gheeze scarred for life, so now force their own on it as well….But surprisingly, one was well on her way into a screamfest when Santa started shaking is sleigh bells, and Mom started singing “Jingle Bells” and so did the now smiling and laughing child….go figure!
