Saturday 8 December @ 10:30-12:00 ~ It is usually pretty easy to spot schizophrenia markers in artwork. The heavy use of symbol, lots of repetition, use of words (including made up words) and long, meandering explanations. Very often the art of schizophrenics illustrates a philosophy and/or otherworldly narrative. In this presentation Jas Milam, artist and art therapist, will share a case study of “J”, his artwork and his philosophy. Participants will have the opportunity to make symbols of their own. You do not need art training or talent to participate in this fascinating experience. Sponsored by the Chattanooga Institute of Noetic Science, Jas Milam, MA AT, local artist and art therapist.
