The League of Women Voters is partnering with The Chattery downtown (Broad and 3rd) to provide FREE Civics Education courses the first Sunday afternoon, 4 - 5 pm, each month. May’s class on "The Three Branches of Government and The Balance of Power" by UTC Prof. Jeremy Strickler was spellbinding. Next up on Sunday, June 1st is all about "Tariffs And How They Work" with Dr. Sheena Murray, UTC Economics Professor.

We all talk about the need for Civics Education. Here it is! Please come and please share with your groups.

Downtown meter parking is free on Sundays.

Who Wants to Help with UUCC at Pride????

Chattanooga Pride is Saturday, September 27

We need a group of folks to start planning our participation at the festival and parade! What might that entail? Making sure UUCC is registered for both the parade and the festival. Recruiting participants to staff a table and march in the parade. This committee might come up with giveaways for the parade. Will we have a wagon? Will we have bubbles, noise makers, and rainbow costumes? Flags for our walkers? What brochures, tokens to give away at the table?
All the “stuff.” If you’re interested in helping, please write to either
Judy Gallagher at judygallagher@uucc.org or Charlotte Olson at charlotteolson@uucc.org
