Some feelings refuse to come alone. Joy arrives with grief. Hope sits beside uncertainty.
This Sunday we’ll explore bluphoria—the strange grace of holding many emotions and values at once without getting hooked by any single one. Together we’ll reflect on how our values can guide us through the swirl of feeling and help us live with honesty, courage, and care.

Searching for Justice Tour
The UUCC Social Justice Committee is planning to travel to see the sites where history was made and justice was served. Learn the civil rights stories and the impact of past civil rights battles that provided more rights to the oppressed. On separate trips, we hope to visit Montgomery/Selma, Birmingham and Atlanta. Trips would be open to all, ages 10 and above. Kids need a responsible adult traveling. Logistics are challenging and pending.
We need your help in deciding what to do first, and if there is even enough interest. Look for another email over the weekend with more details!
THEN, look for an interest indicator at church the next two weeks, March 15 and 22. Would you go? How many people would be in your group? This is not a sign-up or obligation, just a way to guide us in our planning.

Be a Part of Our Small Group Sunday
On Sunday, March 29, our service will include a special time of small group discussion as we explore the stories behind our values.
We’re looking for five people who would be willing to help facilitate a small group conversation during the service. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to help guide discussion and make sure everyone has a chance to participate.
All information will be provided to facilitators ahead of time.
Facilitators may also take part in a few additional roles within the service if they’d like.
If you’re willing to help make this meaningful service possible, we’d love to have you be part of it.

UUCC has been operating an "Assistive Listening system (T-coil) to provide hearing assistance during services for those using T-coil equipped hearing aids. Unfortunately we are experiencing technical difficulties with this system. Before undertaking a project to try to resolve this issue, it would be very helpful to gauge the current need. If you or someone you know is using hearing assistance using T-coil technology, would you please contact the UUCC office as soon as you are able to let us know? The office phone number is 423-624-2985, and email address is office@uucc.org. Your response will be appreciated.

Stewardship Campaign Kickoff Lunch
You’re invited to help build the table—bring a small dish to share
We’ll begin our stewardship season by creating a meal together.
Instead of a traditional potluck where everyone brings a full dish, this table works differently: each person brings one part of the meal. As the bowls fill, the combinations emerge — nourishment shaped by the many unique hands, hearts, and personalities that bring this community to life.
You’re invited to bring something inspired by anywhere — a memory, a culture, a craving, or curiosity. The foods don’t need to match — the variety is the point.
How to participate (optional, but encouraged):
- Bring ONE dish that could be added to a bowl or layered into a meal, such as:
- vegetables or legumes OR
- protein (meat or plant-based) OR
- chopped salads or mixes OR
- sauces, dressings, or toppings OR
- herbs or flavor additions
- UUCC will provide rice and noodles as “base” ingredients
- Label your item with its name and inspiration (cards provided) - and your name too!
- Come eat whether you bring food or not.
We’ll also have a few fun ways to interact with the table —
small invitations to taste, notice, and connect.
Come hungry. Come curious. Stay for community.
Please spread the word: at the No Kings 3 rally on 3/28 there will also be a food drive for our community neighbors in need.
Donations requested: non-perishable food, feminine hygiene products, and all baby items to include diapers, formula, wipes, etc.
