UUCC Democratic Process: Annual Meeting Sunday
It’s that time of year—when we practice what we preach! Join us for UUCC’s Annual Meeting Day, a celebration of our fifth Unitarian Universalist principle: the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large.
This isn’t just a meeting—it’s a chance for members to UU the Vote right here at UUCC. We’ll come together to reflect on our shared journey, elect leaders, make decisions, and shape the future of our beloved community. Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Let’s keep building a congregation where all are heard, all are valued, and all are empowered.

The Art on the Walls Program presents the art exhibit
Black In Bloom:
A Showcase in Black Thriving
Sunflower Beauty by S.Ja FineArt
This exhibit presents the art of two talented local artists: S.Ja FineArt (Sharketa Penn) and Nola x Trinity (Andrea Sanders). Their work showcases Black creativity and beauty.
Both artists are members of The MFA (Music+ Fashion+ Art) Foundation. S.Ja FineArt creates using the digital painting app Procreate. Nola X Trinity presents prints of her works on canvas.
Of the process of creating, S.Ja FineArt says “Each portrait I create is a journey through memory, healing, and self- discovery. I believe art is not just something we make, but something that makes us whole.”
The art will remain in the church’s gallery through July 27. To purchase the art or additional prints of the art, refer to the wall label.

Who Wants to Help with UUCC at Pride????
Chattanooga Pride is Saturday, September 27
We need a group of folks to start planning our participation at the festival and parade! What might that entail? Making sure UUCC is registered for both the parade and the festival. Recruiting participants to staff a table and march in the parade. This committee might come up with giveaways for the parade. Will we have a wagon? Will we have bubbles, noise makers, and rainbow costumes? Flags for our walkers? What brochures, tokens to give away at the table?
