Garbage Pail Kids, Actual Garbage, And The Pulitzer Prize.

Speaker: Jeff Crim

Come hear about what happens when a priest, a minister, and a rabbi get mad about book banning, place a long shot phone call, and end up organizing a national event

Looking for Items for 2nd Annual Miracle on 11th Street

The Social Justice Committee will host a table at the 2nd Annual Miracle on 11th Street hosted by PawPaw’s Homeless Ministry (a program of the St. Elmo Untied Methodist Church). The event takes place Sunday, Dec. 14, 2-4 p.m. at the corner of 11th and Peeples Street. It’s designed to bring holiday cheer, essential items, and hope to Chattanooga’s unhoused neighbors.

UUCC will be collecting needed items, starting Sunday, Nov. 23 through service on December 14 when we’ll take with us to the event. Look for boxes in the fellowship area.

Items needed:
  • Socks, gloves, scarves
  • Underwear (men’s and women’s)
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Blankets and hygiene kits
  • Back packs (drawstring kind)
  • Dog food (quart size bags)
  • Umbrellas, flashlights and bottled water
Thank you so much for helping our neighbors!
