The Sound of the Genuine

This Sunday will be inspired by Howard Thurman's commencement address to Spelman College. Why is it important to follow the work that calls you? We will be opening our hearts to authenticity and action to maintain hope. Being hopeful and focused on the call to build a beloved community during times of fear and hate requires bravery and practice. Let's join the generations in our commitment to nonviolent action and loving the world with our sounds of the genuine.

Hosts Needed for Climate Revival March 1and 2!

Our church is hosting a two-day revival focused on climate justice and policies on March 1 and 2. It is customary to offer housing to UUs traveling to attend.
Might you be able to serve as a host on Friday and/or Saturday night ( February 28th and March 1st )? If so, please let Nicky Ozbek know (nickyozbek@gmail.com ). This is a great way to help a fellow UU and to get involved in ‘good trouble, to quote John Lewis.

On January 20, President Trump issued an executive order suspending all refugee resettlement programs including federal monetary support for refugees already here. Bridge needs to raise $23,000 for March alone to cover the cost of rent, utilities, food, and transportation for the most recent refugees. If you can, please donate using the QR Code below. Even a small amount helps.
