Every Day is Earth Day!

This Earth Day, Rev. Mandy and company reflect on the 2025 theme: "Our Power, Our Planet." How can we focus our spiritual and ethical power to transform a world in crisis? Drawing inspiration from Pope Francis, we'll examine how love can disrupt the false hope of self-centered expansion and instead plant seeds of collective renewal.
In overwhelming times, grounding ourselves in our Unitarian Universalist values gives us direction. The "E" in our CARE mission calls us to Embrace Life and Care for the Earth, and our seventh principle affirms respect for the interdependent web of all existence. Through the lens of liberal religious values and universal love, we’ll discover that hope is not passive—it is powerful, shared, and alive within us all.

Beloved UUCC Members, Friends, and Supporters—
ACTION NEEDED!

As of today, we’ve received 28 pledges totaling about $64,000. That’s a strong start—but our goal is $160,000, and we need everyone’s support to get there. If we’re going to present a balanced, responsible budget at our Annual Meeting on June 8, we need your pledge now.
My family has increased our pledge this year by 7%, bringing our total to roughly 8% of my UUCC salary (don’t worry—Andre did the math! ). That math gave us food for thought—and now we’re even considering another increase. Have you done the math? Have you considered what you can give?
We give because we believe in this community. We believe in you. Every gift, big or small, brings us closer to our goal—and helps UUCC thrive in the year ahead.
Please make your pledge today!

With love,
Rev. Mandy

P.S. Shout out to the 28 pledgers who have already stepped up—thank you!
Amber Asmi had a bad fall a week ago and fractured her right tibial plate and just had surgery on the 15th of April. With an active toddler Amber and Johnathan could really use some help with cooking. Please consider taking them a meal, we know what good cooks you all are! https://mealtrain.com/63v44k
