The Dangerous Practice of Us

With Reverend Mandy
In a world that can feel like it’s fracturing around us, playing it safe is the real danger. Religious liberals are called to do things radically different.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the UU principle of the democratic process—not as a bureaucratic chore, but as an entrepreneurial, high-energy spiritual mission. From the potential of our property to the brilliance of our shared ministry, we are moving from scarcity to urgency. Come hear the vision, celebrate our incredible staff, and get ready to rock and roll into the future at our annual meeting immediately following the service!

Concert to be streamed Sunday at UUCC, Live from NYC!

On June 14, the Committee for the First Amendment will be hosting Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment, an uplifting evening of song, solidarity, and action. Featuring an all-star line-up of performers, this 90-minute concert event will celebrate the freedoms guaranteed by our First Amendment—of speech, religion, press, assembly, and protest—and the people power that both fuels these rights and is essential to guarantee them.

See the website for participating artists https://riseupsingout.com/

The event will be streamed with watch parties all across the country—and UUCC will be hosting a watch party at the church! Come together in solidarity!

Doors for the concert will open at 6:45 p.m.. Concert happenings begins streaming at 7, while the concert itself starts at 7:30 p.m.

If so desired, please bring your own snacks and beverages. Also be mindful that two other groups are holding their regular gatherings downstairs.

Announcements should be submitted to the church office before 10 am on Sunday mornings. The worship associate will invite speakers forward to share approved announcements. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, announcements will be limited to approximately 1 minute each.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made Music Sunday possible!

To Jen Horning, creator of our June Music Sunday service, and to Leila Rose, UUCC Music Director, who guided and coordinated the musical program. We are also deeply grateful to the many singers, musicians, and worship leaders whose gifts and dedication brought this program to life.

Another thank you goes out to the many people who brought pies for our All Pie Potluck. Our meal was ABUNDANT and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! Thank you for feeding each other.

The deadline to sign up for Summer Explorer Camp is MONDAY, JUNE 15th!

A Message from Reverend Mandy

Church is a lot quieter when you aren’t here, and honestly, I get a little bored when the building is empty! Whether you want to talk about the big stuff or just create something together, my door is open.

Wondering what we could do during a Rev's Appointment? The list is truly endless, but here are a few ideas:
  • Create & Brainstorm: Paint a chalice, map out a new church project, or plan an upcoming service.
  • Deep Dives: Explore theology, unpack a "problem" you've been chewing on, or look at ways to develop your leadership.
  • Heart-to-Hearts: Share what is currently on your heart, process grief, honor a rite of passage, or chat about what it means to officially join UUCC.

Booking is Easy!

You don't need a monumental reason to reach out—casual chats and deep dives are equally welcome. You can check my real-time availability and claim a spot directly on the church calendar by clicking the link below:
