March Flowers

Speaker: Rev Mandy
Our values are fundamental to who we are as individuals. They act as our own personal compass by influencing our actions, decisions, and relationships. They determine our priorities and behaviors, as well as how we spend our time and money. Today, we will utilize flower petals to help us clearly define our values. We will use this activity for personal reflection and connecting to UUCC values. There will also be time for sharing for those who feel comfortable.

UUCC has been operating an "Assistive Listening system (T-coil) to provide hearing assistance during services for those using T-coil equipped hearing aids. Unfortunately we are experiencing technical difficulties with this system. Before undertaking a project to try to resolve this issue, it would be very helpful to gauge the current need. If you or someone you know is using hearing assistance using T-coil technology, would you please contact the UUCC office as soon as you are able to let us know? The office phone number is 423-624-2985, and email address is office@uucc.org. Your response will be appreciated.
Stewardship Campaign Kickoff Lunch

Sunday, March 15, 2026
You’re invited to help build the table—bring a small dish to share

We’ll begin our stewardship season by creating a meal together.

Instead of a traditional potluck where everyone brings a full dish, this table works differently: each person brings one part of the meal. As the bowls fill, the combinations emerge — nourishment shaped by the many unique hands, hearts, and personalities that bring this community to life.

You’re invited to bring something inspired by anywhere — a memory, a culture, a craving, or curiosity. The foods don’t need to match — the variety is the point.

How to participate (optional, but encouraged):

  • Bring ONE dish that could be added to a bowl or layered into a meal, such as:
    • vegetables or legumes OR
    • protein (meat or plant-based) OR
    • chopped salads or mixes OR
    • sauces, dressings, or toppings OR
    • herbs or flavor additions
    • UUCC will provide rice and noodles as “base” ingredients
  • Label your item with its name and inspiration (cards provided) - and your name too!
  • Come eat whether you bring food or not.
We’ll also have a few fun ways to interact with the table —
small invitations to taste, notice, and connect.

Come hungry. Come curious. Stay for community.

We will be sharing simple songs of historical significance (ie: "We Shall Overcome") as well as new songs for THIS moment in our collective history, including many being sung now by our friends in Minneapolis, MN. Art on the Walls

March & April

An Exhibit of New Art

By: Rev. Mandy Goheen

Our own Rev. Mandy presents 14 paintings, all of which were completed during her recent sabbatical. Her themes include parenthood and the environment. Other themes are expressed as emotional metaphors in response to current events, both personal and national.

Most paintings are available for purchase with 20% of sales donated to UUCC. The still life shown above is titled Study in Pink and Blue.
The following are some events/retreats that are upcoming at The Mountain. Be sure to check their website for more information about these events and other upcoming events.
On Saturday, Feb. 28, from 2 to 3:30 pm, Democracy in Action will join the Bridge Brigade and other grassroots pro-democracy groups at Ross’s Landing, downtown. We’re coming together to share our voices, support one another, and show the strength of our community.
The League of Women Voters is presenting an important program on DEI policy changes and how these changes will affect all of us.

This program will be presented at The Chattery on Sunday, March 1st, 4 - 5:30 pm.
We think it will be a very informative discussion with experts in government, law, business and nonprofits.

There will be time for questions and we believe our speakers will have concrete information and answers to offer.
