Histofuturist: Octavia Butler
|
|
Science Fiction Sunday!!!!!! We will explore the power of fiction to process hard truths through the writing of Octavia Butler. "Sometimes I wrote things because I couldn't say them, couldn't sort out my feelings about them, couldn't keep them bottled inside me." How can using science fiction as an expression of theology help us plant seeds of hope. Octavia Butler's work "Parable of the Sower" will be our sacred text to grow that hope.
