Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Chattanooga’s website!  As the minister of this congregation, I welcome you and hope that you will find this portal helpful in your search for a progressive religious home in Chattanooga.  Unitarian Universalism has had a long history in the Chattanooga area tracing back as far as the late nineteenth century! Today UUCC is a dynamic congregation where all souls are invited, and every body and identity is welcome.

Perhaps this is your first inquiry into a Unitarian Universalist church.  Unitarian Universalism is a caring, open-minded religion that encourages seekers to follow their own spiritual paths. Our faith draws on many religious sources, welcoming people with many different beliefs. Members and congregations covenant how they will be with each other, promising to one another their mutual trust and support as they seek to live our UU Principles which are listed below.

We are united by shared values, not by creed or dogma. Our congregations are places where we gather to nurture our spirits and put our faith into action by working toward social justice in our communities and the wider world. We are committed to being a vital and growing progressive congregation within our larger community.

Our Sunday morning worship is enlivened by music, story, and words of hope and love drawn from the world’s great wisdom traditions.  It is made sacred by our presence together.  Won’t you join us?  We are eager to meet you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about our church or our Unitarian Universalist faith tradition.

In faith and love,
