Religious Education at UUCC

UUCC’s Religious Education ministry promotes learning about our religious tradition and beliefs, and those of others, throughout our lives, from kindergarten through retirement. UUCC’s Religious Education program is committed to providing spaces for our children and youth to explore our UU values and strengthen our community across the country.

Camille Mason, DRE (dre@uucc.org)

Camille Mason has served as the Director of Religious Education at UUCC since May 2022. Camille grew up in Chattanooga and left for a short while to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She received a B.A and Masters degree in Elementary Education. Camille is proud to be serving the needs of the UUCC congregation.

Childcare

Our nursery is open from 9:30-12:30pm on almost all Sunday mornings!

Children (K-8th Grade)

With the exception of one multigenerational service per month, children are dismissed to Religious Education classes after the Story for All ages, approximately around 11:15am. Children remain downstairs for classes until 12:00pm when they meet their adults in the fellowship hall.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Chattanooga offers weekly programs serving children and youth! We welcome children, youth, and families of diverse beliefs, backgrounds, gender and racial identities, sexual orientations, physical abilities, special needs, learning styles, and family structures.

Youth/Teens (9-12 Grade)

Teens are always welcome to participate in the service. We value the participation of our teens in our annual three youth led multigenerational services.
